Smiles and Daggers
When noble families fight one each other for the throne, charming smiles and backstabbing are a daily business. To be at the helm of these people is a dangerous and also very difficult job. Since peace never lasts long, your glory will probably pass soon. Nevertheless, your thirst for power is unquenchable. Will you eventually wear the crown?
Smiles and Daggers is a 3-6 player card game that is based on reading opponents' empty promises and fake smiles. Following a mechanism that is similar to the Prisoner's Dilemma, one of the most famous models of game theory, players have to collect a certain number of gold coins. In order to do that, they have to bilaterally challenge each other, while other players can bet on the challenges' outcome. By working together, collecting gold coins is easier. Nevertheless, eliminating other players' cards is sometime necessary.
